Continuing the legacy set by Drs. Lasser, Berk, Leopold, and Bradley, Dr. Alexander Norbash serves as Chair of Radiology for UCSD promoting patient-centered care, innovation, and solution-oriented teamwork.
Dr. Norbash specializes in Neuro Interventional Radiology utilizing minimally invasive treatment of vascular disorders in the brain with a focus on aneurysm, vascular malformation, and stroke treatment. He has performed thousands of endovascular neuroradiology procedures and was one of the first clinician-interventionalists to develop, describe and implement the technology of stenting for the carotid and intracranial arteries in the early 1990s. Dr. Norbash’s other clinical interests include interventional simulation, image-guided robotics, and percutaneous vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty.
